For the pointillism project, I found a very cool image of the sun setting over the Blue Ridge Mountains and chose this as my picture to pixelate. Next, I took the picture I found and put it into Pixlr which converted my picture into pixels, like in the picture to the left. With my picture converted to pixels, it allowed me to start to visualize how my project would look. Then, I just had to decide what I was going to use to make it and how. I decided to go with paper as my media for this project. I was going for a mosaic look by leaving some white space and using random shapes to construct my final project. Overall, I was very happy with the way my project turned out. It was a little difficult finding the exact colors as in the photo and is was hard blending one color into the others on my final. But I was very proud of the way it turned out in the end. |
